Thanks to a tip off from Arabella from Natural Nursery on our Facebook page. She gave me some leads to check out for British Food Fortnight, which included yesterdays post on monthly organic meat boxes form Well Hung Meat and Own – Devon’s Online Supermarket.
This is a great idea and one that makes me want to up sticks and move to Devon! I hope more of these ideas spring up all over the place. Own, have a wonderful range of products, which are locally sourced by their team of professionals. All you have to do is register and start shopping, similar to your big national stores BUT is local and is supporting small independent businesses and traditional methods of farming.
Delivery is free in the local area for orders over £60. Minimum order is £25. If you live out of the area, but still want to be part of it, you can for a fee of £8.50 your order will be delivered by national courier on a Friday pm.
For more information on the range of products available check it out at www.ownonline.co.uk.
