Coat Pegs and Name Plaques

It’s the details that count when you’re designing a room for your child.  Choosing well made items that work well for your child and positioned at the right height for them make their room a welcoming place and encourages independence.

I love this medieval castle peg rack which would work equally well in a bedroom or in the hallway.  Made from recycled, recycleable, chemical-free strawboard and painted with environmentally friendly, non-toxic, VOC free paint, it’s got strong eco credentials too .  It’s made and decorated by hand too and comes supplied with wall fixings.  It’s priced at £20 and there are other coat pegs available too, like a fairy castle, a red train and a sun/cloud design.

I think most children like to identify their own space and their own things.  A name plaque for their room allows them to do just that and it’s a fun way of helping them learn how to read and write their name.  This personalised, fairy castle name plaque is again handmade and painted. The letters on the name plaques are painted white (up to 9 letters) and it hangs with a pink ribbon. Once more it’s made from recycled strawboard and painted with eco-friendly paint.  It’s priced at £25 and there’s also a similar knight’s castle style one available.
