Consciously Gorgeous Jewellery with Caipora

Can you have consciously gorgeous jewellery? Caipora is a collection of contemporary ethically made jewellery crafted by five Brazilian designers with a passion for the environment. They have used their core beliefs in sustainability and ethical production to ensure that their jewellery is a representation of the four natural elements of the land: fire, earth, air and water.

A key element in the process of the making the jewellery is the importance of using recycled and easily replaceable natural materials. The principals of ethical working practice are fundamental to the operation of Caipora, and the name is also synonymous with environmental responsibility – it is an entity of indigenous Tupi-Guarani mythology of Brazil, and means ‘the forest protector’.

In line with Caipora’s culture of sustainability, riverside communities in Brazil use native knowledge to source materials in a completely sustainable way, so that the environment is left unharmed. Seeds and golden grass are collected during periods of harvest, and off- cut materials from other industries are recycled. All of the extraction activities are closely monitored by local environmental agencies and many of the suppliers are also certified “eco-friendly” merchants.

You can be assured in Caipora’s firm belief in following a lifestyle that cultivates a fair, and ethical conscious “mind, body, and soul”, whilst paying strict attention to the best style, quality and aesthetics in all their jewellery, and the company constantly strives to improve itself and its relationship with the environment.

How about matching a piece of jewellery to your personality? If you have a fun and vibrant character, check out the fire collection. The PVC rubber art necklace is a great statement piece, and will ensure that you are the centre of attraction. Alternatively if you feel that you have a mysteriously beautiful quality, have a look at the items in the earth collection. The stunning Blue Moon necklace from the air collection is made of rice straw, glass pearl, mother-of-pearl beads, African stones and flowers made of banana tree straw. The water pieces are clean and beautiful with natural elements, such as golden grass, mixed with gold and silver to produce stunning, simple yet modern and elegant designs

If you are looking for a gorgeous piece of ethically made jewellery, which contributes to the sustainability of endangered areas, then look no further than the spectacular pieces in the Caipora collection and let your conscience rest easy.
