Dental health is something that has usually been drummed into us by our parents, and hopefully we are teaching our own children how to look after their teeth properly.  A smile is one of our most beautiful features and if you are not happy or confident enough to smile because of your teeth then you may well feel insecure in other aspects of your life.

Oral health has improved greatly over the years and nowadays scientific research has led to huge advancements in cosmetic dentistry procedures. Regardless of the fact that we all know that looking after our teeth is important and that good dental care is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle, there may still come a time when we lose a tooth and are in need of dental implants.

A dental implant is a replacement for a tooth and it should look exactly like your natural tooth. They can be a good alternative to dentures, especially if multiple teeth need to be replaced. One of the best features of dental implants is that under proper conditions and with the care of a good dental practice, they can last a lifetime! What’s more you can treat them as you would your own teeth, brushing and flossing in the normal way.

Maybe you lost a tooth or some teeth in an accident when you were younger and haven’t had them replaced, or maybe disease or root decay has played a part in causing you to lose your teeth. Each dental situation is unique, but if you are looking for an effective way to replace your teeth you should consider dental implants. In most cases treatment can be carried out in just one appointment, ranging from one hour for a single tooth to three hours for a larger more complicated case.

Getting your natural smile back and knowing that you can open your mouth and show your teeth freely is without doubt a huge confidence booster, so why not check out dental implants today?
