We all know we should be saving water but putting it into practice can be a stumbling block. You need a way to save water without thinking and here are two simple products which will help you do just that.
Changing your shower head will take about five minutes. If you install an Oxygenics Aerating Shower Head it will save you between 30 & 70% compared to the water you would normally use when showering. The knock on effects are that you will save energy as you will need to heat less water and anything that can bring down our energy bills is to be welcomed. It works by sucking in air and mixing it with the water making it work more efficiently without losing pressure. You can pick one up for £55 from The Natural Collection.
Another way of saving water is to reduce the amount you flush down the loo. Depending on when yours was installed it could be flushing away as much as 9 litres every time. There are lots of products on the market which take up space in your cistern reducing the amount of space for water. You can often get them for free from the water board – click here for details. If your water board doesn’t provide them for free you can buy a set of 3 Hippos for £7.99 from Hippo the Watersaver.
Water saving can be easy and with a few minutes work you can save water everyday without thinking about it.
