If you are planning your child’s birthday party, you might want to consider giving an eco party bag instead of a cheap plastic one that will just add to the continuing landfill problems we are experiencing. Handmade cloth party bags can be reused over and over again by the receiving children and will help keep the memory of the party alive. Here are some of our favourite eco party bags.
1 Handmade party bag from Sonny and Alfie, choose from 12 different styles. Price is £3.99 each.
2 The ethical party bag from Eco Party Bags, includes a Mulberry notepad, twig pencil, 5 colouring twig pencils, balloon and a newspaper bag to hold it all in. Price is £4.50.
3 Handmade cotton balloons party bag, from Little Cherry, price is £1.50 each.
4 Pirate party bag from Happy Green Earth, made from recycled cotton paper. Price is 70p each.
5 Orange party bag from Eco Mojo, these bags are 100% recyclable. Price is 45p each.
6 Design your own bag from Funky Dory, these bags can be personalised as you like. Price is £2.50.
7 Exam bag from Ethical Party Bags, made from old newspapers. Price is 30p each.
8 Dinosaur Party Bag from Petit Artisan, includes a dinosaur for you to paint. Price is £3.15 each.
9 Butterfly fabric party bags from Charlie Moos, handmade, this was a 2009 winner of the TGF Rated Awards. Price is £1.50 each.

Perfect timing – my daughter’s birthday is in a couple of weeks
Thanks for doing all the legwork for me!
Hi
Great piece. I often feel that party bags are not needed at all. Sometimes getting the kids to simply make something at the party works just as well. Saying that I have used http://www.ethicalpartybags.com for things before, including the newspaper party bags which are something really different, and they are Fairtrade.
