Fairtrade Goodies from Manumit
This week I’ve been browsing through Manumit‘s great range of lovely, fairly traded bags and jewellery. All of their products are handmade by producers , who are members of either of the World Fair Trade Organisation or The Fair Trade Federation.
I really very taken with this stylish tote bag, with its black and silver colour combination, decorated with a bold, embroidered, daisy design. It’s fully lined and has 2 practical internal pockets: one for your phone and a zipped one too. The top has a magnetic closure to keep the rain out. It’s made from cotton canvas in Vietnam. It’s available for £25 from Manumit.
Another great design is this beautiful, bright Blue Coral Shoulder Bag. Again it’s fully lined and has an internal zipped pocket. It’s handmade in Vietnam too and has a fabulous, coral pattern, hand made embroidery design. Made from linen with an unusual, but simple, knotted handle, this is a smart bag which you could take anywhere with you. It’s priced at £20, plus there is a matching zip up purse available for £7.
Manumit have a wide range of jewellery too. I particularly liked this Purple Wood and Lacquer Pendant. It’s a painted wood disc design with an eggshell lacquer detail. You can vary the length of the coated cotton cord to suit your neckline. It’s handmade in Vietnam from wood, eggshell and cotton and is priced at £8. There are also matching earrings and a matching bracelet available to complete the look.
There’s also this great Bone Spiral Disc Bracelet. This comes in a stretch bracelet style with polished bone disc design. The detailing comes in the form of brass spirals, glass beads and hematite. It measures 7cm across the diameter and is priced at £13. You can also purchase a matching necklace and earrings to complete the set.
