What was the reason for starting the company

I was disheartened by the rubbish party bags my son, Charlie, had received at parties. Not only did it break straight away, it was either very age inappropriate or made of plastic. One party he received near enough a whole bag of chocolate …. he doesn’t even have chocolate unless its a special occassion. It became a slightly stressful experience .. Charlie would wonder out of the party tightly clutching the party bag in his hand and we’d either fight with him to get rid off the bits he couldn’t have or have him hand us stuff as we said no, in most cases he’d be left with a balloon and some bubbles. How long have you been in business

I took the plunge to build and start up my website after Megan was born in August 2008. I became very adapt at typing with one finger whilt breast feeding at 2am!

Tell us about your products

We sell a variety of wooden and traditional fillers . Plus a selection of handmade (by me) cloth party bags and some indulgent paper ones with firemen, builders, fairies, ballerinas etc .. on. We also have a small selection of wooden toys but we mostly concentrate on the party bag side.

What is your favourite green luxury item

This is quite a luxury for a shopping bag but its made from recycled juice cartoons by a women’s co-operative in the Phillipines. I just love the funky look if it too

What is your top green tip

Save all your envelopes (I always get loads of pre-addressed ones with bills etc…) and packaging, bubble wrap etc ….to re-use by adding your own labels. So much better for the environment and your pocket!

What do you do to relax

We live in a ground floor flat and have a fruit/veggie patch growing in pots! I love nothing more than picking and eating our fresh strawberries with my beautiful children. But being a full time mummy to two children Charlie, 2 years and Megan 10mths I don’t have much time to relax.
