Who are you and what is your position?

Ren Chandler and I am the owner of Green Heart Gifts Ltd.

The reason for starting the company?

The company was started last year from a desire to make buying a ‘green’ gift basket easy. Our aim from the start has been to provide a range of products either handmade, natural, fair-trade or organic. Most of our products are made small producers who also care greatly about the environment. Not only are our products ‘green’ but we have taken great care to ensure the packaging is also recycled / biodegradable / fair-trade and also really attractive.

How long have you been in business?

Our website went live in July 2010.

Tell us about your products.

We sell gorgeous eco gift baskets and green gifts, these include handmade natural soaps, bath melts, soy wax candles, organic hankies, scented bags, oil burners, oatsy soaksys and much more…

What is your favourite green luxury item?

My favourite little bit of luxury are our bath melts, made with cocoa butter and essential oils they make your skin feel moisturised from top to toe without spending a fortune on expensive products.

What is your top green tip?Re-using breakfast cereal inner bags as rubbish bin liners. (We down sized our bin, so now I think more about whats going in it and because its smaller we can line it with a cereal bag) These are very useful for other purposes too has they don’t have holes at the bottom!  Turn the heating down 1 degree and pop on an extra jumper and snuggle up under a blanket.

What do you do to relax?

Time is pretty short round here but when I do get the chance I like to go for a good long walk, As a family we also enjoy going geocaching, which is kind of like going on a treasure hunt with a GPS !
