The reason for starting the company?
I love food!
How long have you been in business?
18 years.Tell us about your products?
They’re all organic but also we source from artisan and specialist people, i.e. we work on a human-scale with great passionate growers and producers and manufacturers so we have a big commitment to quality and authenticity.
What is your favourite green luxury item?
I would like a totally eco-building in a fantastic setting – dream on…
What is your top green tip?
I think cutting out meat once a week is a no-brainer. The meat industry is a disgrace in resource use, in climate change, in pollution, in diverting food that could be eaten by poor people in poor countries to feeding animals for consumption in rich countries. Put on top of that animal treatment in intensive farming and the fact that we eat far too much meat nowadays – and for me it’s an absolute no-brainer: cut out meat once a week!
What do you do to relax?
I don’t relax! But the closest is getting lost in loud thumpy music – not relaxing for many but it does it for me!
