Fire in the Garden
It’s a good time of year to buy some barbecue and other garden accessories. Often they are reduced around now as it’s getting close to the end of the season, but there is still time to enjoy the warm weather (if there is any) and the nights get darker a little earlier, so it’s all a bit more atmospheric.
This pot barbecue from Hen & Hammock is reduced from £99 to £69 currently. This would be perfect for those who have a small garden or even just a balcony. When not in use you put the top on and it looks just like a terracotta pot. The top is deep enough to crop salad crops and has drainage. Inside the stainless steel grill measures 29cm diameter. The steel pot has a heat insulating ceramic coating, which gives it a terracotta finish. It is 37cm wide and 27cm tall, so will fit into a small space.
These pine logs have been cut to make outdoor torches, using a technique developed during the Thirty Years War by Swedish soldiers. There’s a wick at the top of the torch to make lighting easy. Natural resin helps the wood to burn. Burn time is wind dependant , but around 2 to 3 hours is typical. They are typically 25cm tall and 19cm diameter. They’re priced at £9.50 each.
