Green, Retro and Funky – the new look for organic babywear

Fantastic new online store, Meenymineymo.co.uk is proving that organic and ethical clothing does not need to be boring and unimaginative- although their funky personalised baby wear does come in green, it also comes in other bright colours such as red and blue.

The range consists of cool, retro cut, short and long sleeve tees, baby rompers, blankets, sleeping bags, pyjamas, laundry bags and bibs. Each item has been individually designed with superb attention to detail, setting MeenyMineyMo apart from the run-of-the high street, yet without a designer price tag.

Founder and designer Michelle Jeffreys decided early on to only use gorgeously soft, 100% organic cotton jersey after becoming aware of the poor conditions some cotton workers are subjected to.

All the pieces are bold and stripy, in fresh colours like lime green and vivid blue, but best of all, each has garment is personalised with the child’s name in bright, velvety flock lettering, so there’s no doubt about who it belongs to.

Michelle says “The first written word that my 3 year old son recognised was his own name which prompted me to start a collection of all things Lucas. I loved seeing him swell with a sense of pride when he could see that Lucas shape again on something that he liked to play with, look at or wear. Children love to take ownership. One of my son’s first words was “mine”, and so meenymineymo was born.”

She continues, “ as expectant parents we spend loads of time thinking about the name for our baby. It’s such an individual, personal gift for your child that stays with them a lifetime. Meenymineymo was created to celebrate our name. Something that only we can own.”
