Jewellery designer, Kate Hamilton-Hunter is donating 10% of sales from her jewellery collection to support Plan UK’s ‘Because I am a Girl’ campaign.
Kate designs beautiful handmade jewellery from her studio on the North Wales coast. Her first jewellery designs were fashioned from old patterned tins. Her collections are now created from a selection of metals including silver, brass, and aluminium, coupled with her biscuit, sweet and toffee tins.
All the jewellery is made with attention to detail, and finished to a high standard using sterling silver, Swarovski crystals and pearls. The company is very eco-friendly, and ensures that recycled materials are used in the creation and packaging of all the jewellery.
Plan UK ‘Because I am a Girl’ campaign supports 4 million girls to stay in education in the developing world. Kate is really passionate about the charity so much that she has sponsored a girl in Uganda for the past 8 years, and has seen the amazing work the charity does. Kate will be donating to the campaign from now until September 2013, hoping to raise as much money as possible to raise women and children out of poverty.
Jewellery can be purchased online, and can be shipped worldwide, or from a number of stockists nationwide.
