We often think of bikes as being naturally environmentally friendly and in many ways, they are.  However, like other machines with moving parts they need to use a lubricant to make sure that everything works smoothly. Most bike chain lubricants contain chain lubes out there contain PTFE and petrochemicals. Green Oil have an alternative: Green Oil Chain Lubricant.  It’s a biodegradable bike chain lube.

Green Oil Chain Lubricant lasts in excess of 100 miles on the chain per application (depending on the conditions).  As it can also be used for cables, brake levers, bike locks and for other lube applications, so it’s a useful piece of kit for the cyclist.  They also use recycled plastic containers and will give you 20p cash if you return the bottle after use.  It’s priced at £5.99 for 100ml.  There’s also a mini bottle available for £2.39 which will easily fit into your saddle bag, plus larger bottles for your garage or workshop.

Green Oil also sell eco friendly cleaning brushes and sponges for your bike.
