I’ve been continuing my quest to find an eco-friendly bedroom for my little boy who we are now looking to move from his cot to a ‘big boy’s bed’.
This wonderful wallpaper won’t date or be outgrown easily. It incorporates lots of country scenes with sheep, bees, tractors and even a wind turbine. It comes in a lovely soft blue and chocolate colour scheme. Printed on sustainably produced paper in the UK so it passes the eco-friendly test. It’s quite expensive, but you could easily paper just one or two walls and paint the others. It’s also available in pink and chocolate if you are looking to decorate a girl’s room. Available from Bodie and Fou for £38 per roll.
Organic cotton bedlinen (or bedlinen made from other ecofabrics) is widely available for babies and also for adults, but there are relatively few for older children. I featured a lovely set in my last post about bedrooms and Brenda featured some in a post last year. I have come across this set which has a 40% bamboo content which will make it super soft to sleep in. There’s a ecru pillowcase, a blue flat sheet and a laundry bag in the set which also comes in pink and in cot sizes. Available from Tatty Bumpkin for £63.62 for a single bed set.
