NV London Calcutta Launches at Pure

NV It’s not always a Deadly Sin.  Introducing NV London Calcutta - a heavenly range of beautifully designed, ethical bags and accessories created with sumptuous materials including butter-soft buffalo hides and rich hand-spun silks; proud to officially launch to trade at PURE, Olympia, August 2nd-4th, stand L16 in the Gallery.  On show will be the all new small leather goods range available Christmas for 09 and the Classic Collection; a selection of which will be featured on the catwalk in the Fashion Shows, throughout the three day event.

Short listed for the Ethical Fashion Forum’s Innovation Award in this, their launch season, NV’s diverse collection provides a bag for every woman.  Plus, in these times of tightened purse-strings, their signature ‘Coco’ & ‘Virginia’ handbags, give wearers endless opportunities for matching their bag to their mood thanks interchangeable leather and silk handles – and naturally, both can be separated to provide a timeless, classic handbag and an elegant silk scarf.Ethically produced in Calcutta, one of India’s most poverty sticken cities, by a ‘not for profit’ World Fair Trade Organisation (IFAT) member manufacturer, NV London Calcutta brings innovative design and high quality production to the ethical accessories fashion fore, filling the gap between the standard, ethical offerings and high fashion.

The complete range takes women from work – with NV’s stylish ‘Anita’ all leather, or leather and canvas laptop bags, to play via their wonderful ‘Ayesha’ make-up purse, which doubles as a clutch for the evening and features a unique, removable silk tassle.  For the more active owner, there is the ‘Katherine’ canvas and leather cylindrical yoga/gym bag.  Also included in the range are patterned canvas and leather ‘Florence’ weekenders, ‘Charlotte’ totes, ‘Oscar’ document cases the casual chic ‘Germaine’ leather satchel.  Visitors to PURE will also be able to preview and pre-order NV’s new small leather goods range including presentation packaged wallets, coin purses and wash pockets in the classsic house leathers and canvas.
