Greenie Thought of the Day: Have you considered an allotment?

Last week was National Allotments Week. Now when I used to think about allotments I thought about people like my grandad who had one and who loved to potter down there. As a young child I loved it when I used to go and visit my grandparents as he used to take me with him and it was so much fun, and him and his cronies always found jobs for me to do and kept me out of mischief.
But allotments are becoming the trendy thing to have now, with more and more young people getting into this “green habit” as the positives of growing your own fruit and vegetables become more popular and documented.
