I’ve been continuing to look for party ideas for my son’s birthday and have come across some great ways to decorate your party room and some interesting activities and games which are fun and eco-friendly.

I was very impressed by this party pack which features dinosaurs. The pack includes all the materials necessary for 6 children to paint their own dinosaur and provides party bags for them to take their creation home.  The dinosaurs are made from recycled paper mache and the paints are non-toxic.  There are also party kits available with animals to paint if you prefer.  They are available from Petit Artisan for £24.

Balloons are an essential for any party so I was very pleased to find these colourful biodegradable balloons.  They are made from natural latex and are FSC certified, so the latex comes from a sustainable source.  They also come in a fully compostable bag with a recycled paper label.  Available in a wide range of bright cheerful colours and in packs of 10 balloons from Little Cherry for £1.99.

Another favourite are these pirate themed coaster party invitations.  They are made from recycled paper using vegetable inks and the envelopes are sustainably produced.  There are matching Thank you cards and a range of other designs including  fairy, cowboy and princess themes.  Available from Little Cherry in packs of 8 for £3.99.
