So you have got a new mobile! Great… but what have you done with your old one? What about recycling your mobile phone? Maybe you have thought about trying to sell it to make a little bit of cash, but aren’t quite sure how to go about it or how to make sure that you get the best deal. Of course there are also environmental advantages to be had when disposing of your old mobile in a green way.

You’ve probably seen adverts for comparison sites for insurance, holidays and many other consumable products, and maybe you have even used them. They are great tools that enable you to compare prices and ensure that you are getting the best product at the best price. Well, it is no different when recycling mobile phones. There are several comparison websites that enable you to make a more informed choice when it comes to selling your old device and which take any confusion out of the transaction.

Recycle Mobile Phones is one of these price comparison websites. They are a straightforward to use site that compares all of the UK’s major phone recyclers. Simply type in the make and model of your old phone to see how much you could get on their comparison table. Easy!  When you have found the company that will give you the best price, enter your details online and you will receive a pre-paid jiffy bag. Pop your phone in, send it back and wait for the cheque to come through your letterbox.

As well as making sure that in the future you purchase a more eco- friendly mobile phone by investigating the raw materials and packaging used in manufacture, and taking into account its longevity and energy efficiency, you can recycle your old one and know that you are making a greener choice.
