TGF Rated Review:Ecover Power Cleaner v Cillit Bang Degreaser Power Cleaner

This post is another one in my series of posts where Ecover products fight it out with conventional cleaner.  You can read the first post in the series here for more details.

What is it? Both cleaners are designed to tackle difficult greasy jobs like cleaning ovens, hobs, grills, etc.

Who is testing it? I’ve tried it out on my oven and grill which were in desperate need of a  clean.

Set Up Both are very easy to use: just spray and rub.

In Use There was nothing to choose between them in terms of performance: both did a good job of clearing dirt and grease.

Any Negatives The Cillit Bang Degreaser Power Cleaner has a chemical smell as you’d expect from a conventional product.  I also find it’s bright, brash, purple and green packaging rather off putting, as it always makes me think it must contain lots of nasty chemicals.Price and Availability Both are easy to get hold of in the shops.  The Ecover Power Cleaner costs £3.99 for 500ml.

Overall Two effective and powerful cleaning products which are only separated by their effect on the environment. This is the only reason I have marked the Cillit Bang Degreaser lower than the Ecover product.
