I saw my first snowdrops of the year the other day and it got me thinking about spring time flowers. They’re so beautiful and always make my spirits lift, so it’s seems like a lovely idea to have them around the home even when it isn’t the right time of year to see them in flower.
Folksy have some gorgeous snowdrop inspired pieces for sale. This beautiful, handmade silk fibre paper picture is my personal favourite. It’s made with a sheer fabric and is decorated with machine embroidery detail. Framed in an A5 silver coloured frame, it comes ready to adore your house. It’s priced at £25. This Fair Maids of February print is another charming picture to add to your walls. An original reduction linocut that’s been printed in 4 colours from a single block.
It’s one of an edition of 8 prints and it’s sold unframed for £50.
Carry around some spring cheer or give some as a gift with this Snowdrop Pocket Moleskin Notebook. It’s a small notebook measuring 9cm by 14cm so it’s easy to carry around to write notes in or house your to do list. The snowdrops design is hand screen-printed with aqua green, water based ink onto the buff-coloured cover. It’s priced at £5.
Give some snowdrops on a card. This Quilling Snowdrops Birthday Card is exquisite. A white textured card with shaped corners featuring an arrangement of quilled snowdrops inside an oval frame. The edges are bordered in gold foil. You can choose to have Happy Birthday added to the card or left blank if you prefer. Each card costs £6.
