Solar Power Evolution

We all know that the growth of solar powered energy isn’t going to get anywhere if every 19th house in Britain is 25% powered by solar energy – there needs to be some other sort of motive to interest buyers.

And that’s whats going on right now, a handful of investors are now dipping their noses into what could be the solar revolution – forecasters have predicted unprecedented levels of interest from domestic and commercial investors.

The Governments Feed in Tariffs (FITs) pay you for all the energy you produce from solar energy. Basically, for any small, solar powered unit you install, your home can claim a tariff – going for up to 41p a unit. In addition to this, you receive an extra 3p for any surplus energy you supply to the grid.

David Hunt of Eco Environments says that each household could save anything between £900 and £1,600… per year. The systems are guaranteed for at least 25 years, too!

If solar energy doesn’t tickle your fancy… what about wind energy? Wind Turbines have the potential to save you/give you an income of anything between £6,000 and £12,000 a year! Sounds like a pretty good deal whether you’re interested in doing your bit for the environment, earning a little extra income or reducing energy costs, as it helps you accomplish all three.

Its no doubt that domestic and commercial use is becoming more interested – in this current environmental and economic state its a hard deal to turn down.
