Tableware from Glover and Smith

Glover and Smith is a family run UK business that designs and makes pewter-ware.  Each piece they make is handmade from lead free pewter. Lead free pewter is an eco-friendly, non-tarnishing, recyclable metal, safe to use with food and easy to look after. Simple, low energy techniques mean each piece has a very low carbon footprint.

This bowl and spoon set from their spiral collection has a design based on beautiful prehistoric stone carvings.  It would be an attractive addition to your table and would be a lovely way of serving condiments. It’s priced at £37.50.

Olive wood has a beautiful grain, which is shown off to great effect on this olive wood cheeseboard. It’s decorated with a lead free pewter ammonite button and comes with a Nautilus cheese knife. Measuring 22cm across means that it’s a generous enough size to take a few different cheeses.  This would look great on the table at the end of a dinner party or for serving cheese at a buffet.  It’s priced at £45.
