This Commonwealth Games is experiencing an outbreak of dengue fever spread by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. 7 people have already died in New Delhi from the 3,500 cases reported so far this year. One of the Games’ officials, Mr Gogoi, who is staying in the Athletes Village, has recently contracted the potentially fatal virus and many competitors have pulled out like Britain’s No 1 tennis star, Elena Baltacha over fears of the virus.

Top Explorer Seeks Rare Tropical Diseases on Five year Cycling the World Trip

With a deep interest in Tropical Medicine, explorer Dr Steve Fabes will set off on a five year expedition to cycle across the world deliberately crossing zones rife with malaria and other diseases, using only natural anti-insect products by incognito, and intensive consultation from incognito creator Howard Carter.
