TGF Ethical Christmas Gift List – Day 35

Today’s TGF Ethical Christmas Gift List focus is on gifts for food lovers.

British Cheese Collection from Natoora – I love cheese and this British Selection looks delicious! It contains a good variety of cheeses from around the country including Colston Bassett Stilton, Montgomery’s Cheddar, Tunworth – a white rind cheese from Hampshire, and Kirkham’s Lancashire cheese. The Green and Black’s Chocolate Bar Collection is a great way of choosing a selection of organic chocolate bars perfect for any chocolate lover. All Green and Black’s delicious varieties are available and you can either choose 100g bars (4 for £9, 8 for £16 and 12 for £23) or miniature 15g bars (20 for £10, 40 for £20 or 60 for £30). Once you have made your selection, Green and Black’s will wrap it in ribbon and present it in a gift box for you.

Hawkshead Relish are one of my favourite food companies and I highlighted several of their gorgeous products in my British Food Fortnight post. Their Christmas Triple Pack would make a wonderful gift. It costs £10.50 and contains a jar each of Michaelmas Relish, Christmas Chutney and Boxing Day Chutney.

Beyond Chocolate are a new brand of luxury ethical chocolate truffles. The truffles are a joint creation of the Beyond Boyle Foundation, which gives people who have experienced homelessness the chance to develop a new career in fine cooking and the opportunity to get back on their feet, and Beyond Chocolate. Made in the UK, the truffles are available in three lovely sounding flavours: Dark Chocolate, Caramelised Orange and Peppermint Tea. They are available in Waitrose stores and also directly from the Beyond Boyle online shop, and cost £6.99.

Finally, if you are looking for something a little different, then why not send someone a Meat Hamper from Paganum, the online butchers. I reviewed a selection of meat from Paganum a few months ago and it tasted absolutely wonderful. It also came brilliantly packed in a box with British Sheep’s wool insulation! You can read my review here. The Medium Meat Hamper contains 500g each of bacon, sausages, sausage meat, a gammon joint, best beef mince and stewing beef. The hamper will usually be delivered within 48 hours of Paganum receiving your order and costs £49. Delivery is free.
