TGF Rated Review: Chatterpants Bamboo Pyjamas

I love products made from bamboo so I was really excited to be able to review these gorgeous bamboo giraffe pyjamas from Chatterpants.  The pyjama set consists of a long top and a pair of pyjama bottoms, both made from an easy care mix of bamboo and cotton (70% bamboo, 30% cotton).

Who is testing it? My 21 month old daughter had the job of testing these and she was very excited.  She wanted to put them on as soon as she saw them and then spent the whole day wearing them!

In use: My daughter loved wearing these pyjamas and seemed very comfortable in them at night. They look gorgeous on and the little giraffe logo on the front is very appealing to children. The bamboo and cotton mix means the pyjamas are easy to look after and are also very comfortable to wear. Bamboo makes the pyjamas lovely and soft and also makes for a more comfortable night’s sleep as bamboo keeps your child warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. I washed the pyjamas several times while we were testing them and they always looked as good as new after being washed and they kept their shape perfectly.

The pyjamas are very well made and the attention to detail is excellent. The trousers have a lovely wide waist band which looks really comfortable to wear. The top is quite long so the pyjamas don’t ride up too much during the night and also means they look unbelievably cute! There are little poppers on the shoulder so the top is easy to get on and off, and the main labels are sewn onto the outside of the pyjamas which looks really good and also means that there is nothing to irritate delicate skin.

Positives: All Chatterpants products are fairtrade – Chatterpants have been to the factories where their products are made and ensure that the people who make their products are fairly paid, have good working conditions and hours, and are the right age to be working. Bamboo is a great natural fibre and all Chatterpants clothes are made from farmed bamboo.

We tested the giraffe pyjamas but there are lots of other lovely styles available on the website, so there’s something for everyone. I love these gorgeous fish pyjamas. You can also buy the bottoms separately for £6.50, so you can have a spare pair or two.

Negatives: None

Price: The pyjamas cost £17.50 and can be bought direct from Chatterpants at their website. I think this is very good value for money. Although they are slightly more expensive than high street cotton pyjamas, they compare well to other bamboo clothing I have seen. They are also very well made and I know that they will look good and last a long time.

Overall: I am very impressed with these pyjamas – they look gorgeous, are well made and are fairtrade. Chatterpants have some gorgeous clothes and pyjamas and I will definitely be buying more from them in the future.
