TGF Rated Review: Groom Mate Platinum XL Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer

What is it? The Groom Mate Platinum XL is a small nose and ear hair trimmer. It is manually operated and requires no batteries.

Who is reviewing it? My husband. Although I was very intrigued by this and couldn’t resist giving it a try too!

In Use: The Groom Mate Platinum XL is very easy to use. The narrow end is inserted gently into the nose or ear and then you twist the end of the barrel. This rotates the small blades at the top and gently cuts any unwanted hairs. My husband did admit that the idea of using this felt a little strange at first, as he had never used a nose hair trimmer before. However, the Groom Mate Platinum XL is completely painless to use. The blades on the trimmer cut the hairs rather than plucking them, so you don’t feel anything at all when you use it. The hand operation is very re-assuring too as you know you have total control of the trimmer. It’s very effective and removed hairs quickly and easily.

The Platinum XL is tiny and very light, so  it’s comfortable and easy to hold when in use. It ‘s also ideal for travel and comes in its own little plastic case so it can safely be stored in travel cases and wash bags. The trimmer is made from corrosion-proof stainless steel and the blades are rust proof. It feels very solid and really well made. My husband and I were both really impressed with it.

Any negatives? None at all.

Overall: The Platinum XL is small, neat, and very easy to use. It’s great that it doesn’t need any batteries as this makes it cheap to use and also keeps it’s size down, perfect for travel. This is a great little product and it would make an ideal gift or Christmas present.
