TGF Rated Review: Haymax
What is it?
It’s an organic cream used for hayfever relief. It’s made from a beeswax base and comes in 2 “flavours”. We bought the lavender one. You apply it to the base of the nostrils. It traps some of the pollen so less pollen enters the body. Sounds a bit gory but it’s not and as it’s clear and not shiny it’s “discrete”.You need to reapply it regularly during the day. I tried it on myself first in combination with usual drugs as I can suffer quite badly in spring and found I got some relief from it. So when my daughter started snuffling a few weeks later, I tried it on her. She was happy to use it, likes the smell of it and hasn’t had any adverse skin reactions to using it. It’s pretty ideal to use as bedtime too with the lavender component. Noticeably less sleep snuffling when she’s uses it.
Who is reviewing it?
Sally Campbell and her 3 year old daughter. Sally is a “light greenie” who runs planet-friendly childrenswear brand
chatterpants.com.
In use
I didn’t expect it to replace my hayfever medication although I understand it does for some people. A good companion use product to havyfever medication for me.
Any negatives?
During the day you do need to reapply several times which can be tricky with a child, but a whole lot less tricky than trying to get a child to swallow a pill!
Where to get it?
Boots stocks it, priced at £6.95 although I understand many of their stores are now out of stock for the season. Or buy it direct from the manufacturer
online.
Overall
4/5
