hope and the magic martianBrenda writes…

Before Christmas I was lucky enough to receive a copy of a new fantastic book for children called Hope and the Magic Martian.  My daughter was most delighted, a product that she could review!

What is it?

This is a childs book, aimed at the 7-10 year age group, that aims to grab the childs imagination and guide them through the importance of helping to create sustainable change for the planet for the future.

Who is reviewing it?

My nine year old daughter Gabriella.

Tell us about the story?

This is the story of 10 year old Hope who meets a martian who asks her questions regarding ecological problems like why are polar caps melting?  The journey takes Hope on a learning curve as she finds out all the different stories and learns that by taking small steps every person can make a difference.

Comments

This arrived in good time, as Gabriella had just finished her terms work on recycling, so she was very aware of climate change and how important it is to recycle and do her part in helping conserve the world.  The book gave her a greater insight to what she had learnt and helped cement her knowledge.

Negatives

None that was reported back, the story was enjoyed and she took the book to school to show her friends and teachers.

Price

Available from Amazon for £7.99 including delivery. You can also purchase this book online at Lollypop Publishing again for £7.99 or purchase it as an ebook.

Overall

A great book that is well written and easily understandable by children if reading alone, or a great book for parents to re-educate themselves whilst spending quality time with their children.
