TGF Rated Review: Lilys Kitchen Dog Food

When visiting the Natural and Organic Products show recently, the thing that struck me was the amount of companies there that were to do with pet food.  It is the one area that we here have been slacking of looking out for you, and I apologise for that.  I am very ashamed to say that it should have been one of my areas of interest as I am mummy to 3 dogs.  So I was very interested to talk to a few of these companies and listen to what they had to say.

One of the companies was Lilys Kitchen, where I spoke to a lovely lady who explained all about the background to how Lily’s Kitchen had started and how the journey has taken them to across the UK and Europe in their quest to find the best organic and holistic sources to prepare the pet food.

I was lucky enough to receive 3 tinned samples and a bag of dog biscuits.  The tinned samples were one of each of the Organic Chicken and Spelt, Organic Lamb and Spelt and Organic Beef and Spelt.  The biscuits were the Organic Chicken and Vegetable Bake.  This range of dog food is the first of its kind in the UK to be free of any kind of meat meal.  It is certified organic and holistic.

All the packaging is recyclable and they use water/vegetable based inks.  You really need to visit the website to get the whole picture of what Lilys Kitchen is about as they explain it so well, how they started, their journey and where they are today.

My dogs devoured their dinner that evening in record time, even Bella who is slightly fussy with her food, loved every morsel.  They loved the fact that it was real meat and that it was tasty and the biscuits were easy to digest and eat.

Price wise, the tins are £1.25 each and the biscuits are £6.99 for 1kg or £70 for 15kg.
