TGF Rated Review: Naturally Powered
What is it? Naturally Powered is a new range of ecologically friendly cleaning, washing up and laundry products that aim to be kind to the environment, but still provide a strong performance.
Who is reviewing it? We are as a family.
Set Up We’ve been testing: the antibacterial multi-surface spray, all-in-one citrus toilet gel, concentrated lemon washing up liquid, concentrated bio laundry powder, concentrated non-bio laundry liquid and morning breeze fabric conditioner. Naturally Powered products use combination technology, plant-derived cleaning ingredients and recycled and recyclable packaging. The products have also been hypoallergenically or dermatologically tested.
In Use All the products are easy to use and achieve good results. I was particularly taken with the toilet gel. This did a really effective job and didn’t have any nasty, bleachy smell. At £1.50 for 750ml, it isn’t expensive either and I would certainly buy it again.
I really liked the fact that you get a lot of washes out of the laundry powder and it is effective even at low temperatures. The manufacturers say that you can use it as low as 15 degrees centigrade, but I couldn’t test it at that temperature, because my washing machine doesn’t have a programme at that low a level.
On dirty pots and dishes, I found the concentrated washing up liquid performed very well. It cut through grease, had long lasting suds and a pleasantly lemony fragrance. The multi-surface spray was easy to use and smelt pleasant.
Any Negatives The laundry powder is unscented which is fine with me, but I wasn’t too keen on the smell of the laundry when it came out of the machine. It did fade when the clothes dried and I didn’t have the same issue with the laundry liquid.
Price and Availability You can buy the Naturally Powered range through Tescos. Prices start at £1.25 for 500ml of concentrated washing up liquid.
Overall A great range of good value, environmentally friendly products that perform well around the home.
