TGF Rated Review: Organic Spillproof Air Freshener from Opal Products

What is it? These air fresheners, from Opal Products, are organic and biodegradable. They can’t spill as the fragrance is held in spongey scent pads which last up to 60 days. They come in a small, recyclable aluminium can.

Who is testing it? Me and the family.

Set Up You remove the top and place where you want to freshen the air. After 60 days, you can rotate the scent pads and place the can where it can freshen smaller areas such as wardrobes, cupboards or drawers. Organic Air Fresheners are available in a wide variety of fragrances.

In Use They are very easy to use: the top comes off easily and you can place anywhere, as there is no danger of liquids spilling. You don’t need a plug socket or similar so there aren’t restrictions on placement. I’ve been using mine for over a month now and it is still going strong. I started using it when it was still snowing and our cats were using the litter tray a lot. It really helped disguise any unpleasant smells and made the room smell lovely.

Any Negatives I found the fragrance (I was testing the Concord Cranberry scent) a little overpowering when I tried it in my living room, soon after I opened the can. This has improved as time has gone by and is not an issue now.

You need to keep the tin out of reach of toddlers and babies – my 3 year old found it irresistable.

Overall I was impressed by the effectiveness of the air freshener and it is proving to be very long lasting. I’m fairly confident that I will be able to use it as a drawer freshener for months to come.
