What is it? Percol produce a range of ground and instant coffees, all of which are fairtrade certified. Percol are committed to paying their coffee growers a fair and proper price for their crops, and growers also receive a premium that they can invest in community projects.

Percol Honduras La Tigra Rainforest Coffee is a premium quality ground coffee sourced from the Comisajul Cooperative in La Tigra National Park. The Amitigra Foundation is a charity that helps conserve the wildlife and natural beauty of the National Park, as well as taking steps to improve the standard of living for the people that live there. For each pack of La Tigra Rainforest Coffee sold, Percol has pledged to make a donation to the Amitigra Foundation.

Who is testing it? Me, with help from various family members!

In use: I used this ground coffee in a coffee machine whilst we were on a family holiday. It has a gorgeous, sweet aroma – lovely to have wafting around the house at any time but especially in the morning! This is a medium strength coffee and, although I found it quite strong, everyone who tried it agreed that it tasted lovely.

Any negatives? None

Price and Availability: Percol Fairtrade Honduras Coffee comes in 227g packets and costs about £3. It is available from Ocado and Goodness Direct. Percol coffees are also available in most supermarkets.

Overall: A delicious fairtrade coffee.

Verdict: 4.5/5
